Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Field Camera Android app ("the App"), to be published by Trishunya Infotech ("we", "us"), handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Field Camera is a camera and field-data app that stamps photos with location, time and optional sensor data, stores that data inside the photo files, and exports it in standard formats.

Pre-release draft. Field Camera has not been released yet. This page describes how the app is designed to handle data and will be reviewed and finalised before the app is published. If anything changes - for example a new third-party service - this page will be updated first.

1. Accounts & identity

Field Camera is designed to work without an account - no email, no password, no sign-up.

2. Information the App handles

Photos you capture, the location, time and sensor readings (compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer) recorded with each photo, and any tag or form values you type. These are stored on your device in the folders you choose, and embedded in the photo files (EXIF and a telemetry record) so you can use them in other tools. Files leave your device only when you export or share them yourself.

3. Permissions the App requests, and why

Permission	Purpose
Camera	Taking photos. This is the only permission requested on first launch.
Location (foreground)	Stamping coordinates onto photos and into EXIF. Requested only when you switch the feature on.
Microphone	Optional voice notes with a capture. Requested only when you enable it.
Photos / media access	Saving photos to your gallery and geotagging existing photos you choose.
Notifications	Optional - for long-running exports.

The App does not request access to your contacts, SMS or call log. Permissions that are not essential are requested only when you use the feature that needs them, and the App continues to work if you decline them.

4. Third-party services

Map tiles or a geocoding service may be used to show a map or address on a photo. Any such service will be named here before release, together with what it receives.

5. Data retention and deletion

Data stored on your device can be deleted at any time from within the App, or removed entirely by uninstalling it. Files you have exported or shared with other apps are outside the App's control once they leave it.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

7. Security

We aim to keep your data on your device and to use encrypted connections for any data that is sent over a network. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including at release and whenever features or third-party services are added. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
