Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Hiccup Android application ("the App"), provided by Trishunya Infotech ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What the App does

Hiccup lets you pair with people you know and send them small, friendly gestures, using characters, feelings, emoji and short words.

2. Licence to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal use, subject to these Terms.

3. Your account and pairing

You are responsible for your account and for the people you choose to pair with. Share an invite code only with someone you want to hear from, and remove a pairing at any time from within the App.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Send anything abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexual, or that is meant to frighten or pressure another person.
• Send spam, links, contact details or requests for money, or use the App for anything unlawful.
• Try to get around the limits or the safety checks in the App, or interfere with our service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by applicable law.

We may stop or limit an account that breaks these rules.

5. What you send

You are responsible for the hiccups you send. Typed words are checked on your phone, but no check is perfect, and you remain responsible for what you send.

6. Advertising

The App is free to use and supported by advertising provided through Google AdMob, including an optional rewarded ad. Ad content is served by Google and its partners; we do not control the specific ads shown. The App also includes the Meta SDK to measure which of our own ad campaigns lead to installs. How ads, analytics and install measurement handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, characters, code, and branding, is owned by Trishunya Infotech and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what is necessary to use the App normally.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Delivery depends on the internet and on your phone's settings, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trishunya Infotech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at our discretion.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
