Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Scan Doc Android app ("the App"), to be published by Trishunya Infotech ("we", "us"), handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Scan Doc is a document scanning and PDF app that straightens curved and folded pages and adds signing, stamping, watermarking and export tools.

Pre-release draft. Scan Doc has not been released yet. This page describes how the app is designed to handle data and will be reviewed and finalised before the app is published. If anything changes - for example a new third-party service - this page will be updated first.

1. Accounts & identity

Scan Doc is designed to work without an account.

2. Information the App handles

The photos and documents you scan or import, signature and stamp images you add, and the PDFs, images or videos you export. Scanning, editing and OCR are designed to run on your device. Files stay on your device unless you share or export them yourself.

3. Permissions the App requests, and why

PermissionPurpose
CameraScanning pages.
Photos / files accessImporting existing images or PDFs and saving your results.
InternetOnly if ads, updates or an optional online (for example AI) feature are included in the released version.

The App does not request access to your contacts, SMS or call log. Permissions that are not essential are requested only when you use the feature that needs them, and the App continues to work if you decline them.

4. Third-party services

If any optional AI, ad or analytics service that sends data off your device is added before release, it will be named here, will say what it receives, and AI features will be optional.

5. Data retention and deletion

Data stored on your device can be deleted at any time from within the App, or removed entirely by uninstalling it. Files you have exported or shared with other apps are outside the App's control once they leave it.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

7. Security

We aim to keep your data on your device and to use encrypted connections for any data that is sent over a network. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including at release and whenever features or third-party services are added. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
