Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Image Swiss Knife Android app and web version ("the App"), published by Trishunya Infotech ("we", "us"), handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App runs on Android 12 or newer (package com.trishunyainfotech.imageswissknife) and in a web browser at trishunya.tech/image-swiss-knife/app.

1. Accounts & identity

The App needs no account and no sign-in. We run no server for the App and do not collect personal information ourselves.

2. Your photos and files

All photo and file processing happens on your own device (phone or browser). Your photos, PDFs and other files are not uploaded to any server of ours. Files you save go to the Download/Image-SK folder on your phone (Android) or are downloaded by your browser (web). Your progress, settings and awards are stored only on your device.

3. Permissions the App requests, and why (Android)

Each permission is requested only when a tool needs it.

Permission	Purpose
Photos and videos	Opening the pictures and videos you pick.
Media location	Reading or removing the GPS tag stored in a photo.
Camera	Taking a photo and scanning.
Precise or approximate location	Only for the "add location to a photo" tool, when you tap "Use my location now". Location is used on your device and is written into your own photo only if you choose. It is not sent to us.

The App does not request access to your contacts, SMS or call log. You can decline a permission and keep using the rest of the App.

4. Internet use and third-party services

• Advertising. The App shows ads. The Android app uses Google AdMob (banner ads and an optional rewarded video you may choose to watch). The web version uses Google AdSense. Google may use the Advertising ID and similar identifiers for ads, personalisation (where allowed) and measurement. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google's Privacy Policy.
• Consent. Where the law requires it (the EEA, UK, Switzerland and some US states), the App shows Google's consent form before ads are requested, and offers "Privacy choices" in Settings in those regions.
• Usage statistics (Android). The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count, anonymously, which tools are opened and a few feature events. No file names, file contents, photos, locations or personal details are sent. Where the law requires it (the EEA, UK, Switzerland and some other regions) this stays off until you agree in a box shown when you first use the App, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings under Privacy.
• Install measurement (Android). The Android app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure app installs that come from Meta ads. It starts only under the same consent rule as the usage statistics and receives no photos or files.
• Website statistics. The web version uses Google Analytics 4 without cookies, only to count which tools are used. It receives no photos or files.
• Member codes. A member (invite) code is checked on your device. Once it is accepted, only a member number is kept on your device, never the code itself, and nothing is sent to us. The optional name, role and photo on the member card stay on your device. Removing the membership deletes them.
• First-use downloads. Local AI models and text-recognition language files are downloaded once from public hosts (huggingface.co, storage.googleapis.com, raw.githubusercontent.com, tessdata.projectnaptha.com). No photo or file is sent in these downloads.
• Maps. The location tool can show an OpenStreetMap map (tile.openstreetmap.org) and open Google Maps when you tap.
• Google Play. "Rate" and "Share" open the Google Play page.
• Internet connection. The web version needs an internet connection to open, because it is supported by ads. Your photos are still processed in your browser and are not uploaded.

5. Data retention and deletion

We hold no personal data. Data stored on your device can be deleted from within the App, or removed entirely by uninstalling it. Files you have exported or shared with other apps are outside the App's control once they leave it. For data held by an advertising provider, contact us or the provider.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

7. Security

Your files stay on your device, and data that is sent over a network uses encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when a third-party service is added. Changes are shown by updating the "Last updated" date above.
