Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Never Away Android app ("the App"), published by Trishunya Infotech ("we", "us"), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Never Away's core purpose is to let your phone act as a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for your own PC - it is built to need as little data as possible to do that.

In short: Never Away does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not send your keystrokes, macros, or files anywhere. The data below relates only to app diagnostics, analytics, measuring our own ad campaigns, and the advertising that keeps the app free.

1. Information we do not collect

The App does not collect or require: your name, email address, phone number, physical address, government ID, financial or payment information, photos, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, or precise location.

2. Information stored only on your device

The following stays on your phone and is never transmitted to us:

Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage from Android Settings, permanently deletes this data from your device.

3. Information collected automatically

3.1 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used - which screens and features are opened, how often, and on what type of device. This helps us fix problems and prioritise improvements. Analytics data is associated with an app-instance identifier, not with your name or contact details.

3.2 Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the App free, with an optional one-tap "watch an ad, go ad-free for 24 hours" choice. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID), approximate location derived from IP address, and engagement data with ads, in order to serve and measure ads. This processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can limit ad personalisation at any time from your device: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

3.3 Install measurement (Meta SDK)

The App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK for Android. It reports app install and app-open events, app version, device and OS information, and your device's Android Advertising ID (if you have not reset or opted out of it) to Meta. We use this only to measure which Meta advertising campaigns lead to installs of Never Away, and to improve our own advertising. The App does not use Facebook login, and the Meta SDK never receives your keystrokes, macros, shortcuts or files. We also use the Google Play Install Referrer API, read by the Meta SDK, to learn which ad or link an install came from.

Where the law requires your consent before this data is collected (for example in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland), the App asks for it first, and you can change your choice later in the App's privacy settings. You can also reset or delete your Android Advertising ID at any time. Data received by Meta is processed under Meta's Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Bluetooth

The App uses Bluetooth to pair your phone with your PC and to send keyboard and mouse input, exactly as a physical wireless keyboard would. This connection is local, device-to-device, and does not pass through our servers or any third party. We do not have access to what you type or click.

5. Permissions the App requests, and why

PermissionPurpose
Bluetooth Connect / Advertise / ScanRequired to register your phone as a keyboard/mouse and pair with your PC.
Foreground Service (Connected Device)Keeps the Bluetooth connection alive while the app is in the background or the screen is off.
VibrateHaptic feedback for taps, clicks, and the scroll wheel.
InternetRequired to load ads, send anonymous analytics events and report install events to Meta. Bluetooth control itself does not need the internet.

6. Third-party service providers

We share limited, non-identifying technical data with the following providers solely to operate the App:

These providers may process data outside your country of residence, under their own privacy policies.

7. Data retention and deletion

On-device data (macros, shortcuts, settings) is deleted the moment you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Analytics, advertising and attribution data are retained by Google and Meta according to their own retention policies; you can reset your Advertising ID at any time from Android Settings, which breaks the link to any previously collected advertising data.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

9. Security

Bluetooth pairing and communication are handled by the Android operating system's own Bluetooth stack. We do not operate a server that stores your personal data, which limits our exposure to data breaches affecting you directly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
