Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Steel Table USA Android app ("the App"), published by Trishunya Infotech ("we", "us"), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is a reference tool for American structural steel section data and is designed to need as little data as possible.

1. Information we do not collect

The App does not collect or require: your name, email address, phone number, physical address, government ID, financial or payment information, photos, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, or precise location.

2. Information stored only on your device

Any sections you bookmark or favourite, recent searches, calculator inputs, and app preferences are stored locally in the App using Android's standard app storage. This data is never transmitted to us and is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

3. Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used - which section families and features are opened, how often, and on what type of device - so we can prioritise fixes and improvements. Analytics data is associated with an app-instance identifier, not with your name or contact details.

4. Permissions the App requests, and why

The App does not request access to Bluetooth, camera, microphone, contacts, storage beyond its own data, or location.

5. Third-party service providers

We share limited, non-identifying technical data with:

• Google Analytics for Firebase - usage analytics.

If advertising is introduced to the App in a future version, this policy will be updated in advance to describe the advertising provider and the data involved, and the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.

6. Accuracy of reference data

Section dimensions and properties in the App are transcribed from publicly available AISC steel shapes data - published by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) - for informational and reference purposes only. We take no responsibility for the accuracy of this data; this is a data-accuracy matter, not a privacy one - see our Terms of Use for the full disclaimer on relying on this data.

7. Data retention and deletion

On-device data is deleted the moment you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Analytics identifiers are retained by Google according to their own retention policies.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

9. Security

We do not operate a server that stores your personal data, which limits our exposure to data breaches affecting you directly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
